copper is the best shielding you must know
I thought since copper was conductive it would make the power field worse,,,lol
oh and to get my ground I just used the chassis ground to my Desktop (running linux with a ASUS XONAR D2X sound card) and screwed it directly to the rear of its power supply.

What in addition also works quite well is covering the UNUSED powersockets with 8 times folded aluminium foil. Attach it with adhesive tape.

(2:45) I did this when I was aged 15 (1995) to my mate’s machine. He bought a TV tuner for his monitor. Basically, it had no earth cable, so I made my own up. I never thoguht to do this on my own equipment today – I shall do it for my amplifier!
There are Earth leaks on my video equipment too, so I will repeat the process!!!

Marantz use to make really good speakers. Anyone know how good their recivers are? My dad has a pair of Marantz Challenger VII’s. He bought them in 1979. They still sound great to this day. I bought a pair of book shelf Marantz. They sound very good. Not tinny at all.
