		<description>I&#039;m not familiar with that model, but what it will do is convert lower resolution inputs up to component video.  So if you had composite or s-video connected to the device, it would convert them up to component video.

It would need a scaler in it to upconvert the resolution, which typically only higher end receivers offer.
