How do I get input to my Heathkit 10-12 Oscilloscope?

I know jack about Oscilloscopes, and its something I will have to learn, but in the mean time: I need some help.

I need to get some input into these things.. My goal is to use them in a post-apocalyptic theatrical production, so accuracy and whatnot is not all that important… more that it looks cool.

Can I hook it up to a radio with not too much trouble? A battery? Anything?

As I said, I know jack… any help would be welcome.

yes, hook it up to line output of radio or cd player it would become interesting.
Hooking it up to battery would eventually produce horizontal line.

I tried to locate a operation manual, but had no luck.

I have a Heathkit Oscilloscope that I assembled in around
1970. Used it last week, still works fine.
